WAPATO

A Hothouse Production
A World Premiere Play
by Peggy Stafford
directed by Rebecca Patterson

See what’s blooming in WP’s Labs! This season, WP launches HOTHOUSE, a new play development series for new works created by our Lab artists. Our inaugural HOTHOUSE production is WAPATO. In WAPATO, driven by curiosity and yesterday's windstorm, four women of a certain age venture forth from their assisted living facility and stumble upon the Oregon Trail. Lust in the dust, a funeral pyre of stray socks, and a chance meeting with a legendary rebel are just the beginning of their journey into a wilderness both real and surreal.
