Women’s Project Theater seeks exceptional
Women Theater Artists for its 2012-2014 Lab
The 2012-2014 Lab will be in session from September 2012 through May 2014 in New York City. Lab artists are expected to make the monthly Lab meetings a priority, attend WP productions and those of their Lab colleagues, and participate in the creation of a collaborative project such as We Play For the Gods. • Current resume
• Two letters of recommendation from theater professionals
• One page Artistic Statement that describes the applicant’s artistic
vision and the specific process behind it
• Playwrights only: One hard copy of the script (double-sided) most
representative of your work and that you believe to be ready for
production. Please include a disc containing an electronic copy of
the play, in Adobe Reader (.pdf) file format
• Directors and Producers only: A list of upcoming productions,
workshops and readings with dates, venues, and your role
• Additional materials should not exceed 3 pages and may include
reviews (no excerpts) and photos
• $20 application fee (checks made payable to Women’s Project &
Productions, Inc.)
All materials will be reviewed by a panel of theater professionals.
Finalists will be notified in late April/early May and asked to interview
in June 2012. The 2012-2014 Lab will begin in September 2012.
