Education Volunteers and Interns
Learn the process of implementing theater into NYC schools by participating in WP's education program, Ten Centuries of Women Playwrights. The program uses works from the great canon of women's plays to help improve reading, writing, and communication skills. Each residency culminates in a final presentation created by the students. Volunteers and interns work with established Teaching Artists to learn the Ten Centuries of Women Playwrights curriculum and assist with the students' final presentation. Applicants must have experience in teaching, a demonstrable knowledge of theater history, and, professional credits as a director or playwright. Volunteers and interns must be able to commit to two days per week from 8:30am-3:30pm for 10-15 weeks. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to info@womensproject.org.
